Marine, Seascape, Gaines Ruger Donoho
A windswept beach seascape in landscape format by famous american artist Ruger Donohoe.
Born in Mississippi in 1857, Gaines Ruger Donoho studied at the Art Students League of New York under William Merritt Chase, as well as Académie Julian in Paris. Donoho remained in France from 1878 to 1887, spending time in a range of locales including Étaples, the Barbizon area, and Grez-sur-Loing and regularly exhibiting at the Paris Salon.
