Jacques François Carabain (1834-1933) was a Belgian painter known for his realistic depictions of rural life and landscapes. He often painted peasants at work in the fields or scenes of village life. Some key features of his work:
- Realism: Carabain painted in a realistic style, accurately capturing the details of figures, clothing, settings and lighting. His paintings provide a vivid documentation of 19th century Belgian rural life.
