One of our most popular dining tables, we’ve updated the design to include more detail in the tabletop, to complement the rustic style of the cross beam that runs between the table legs.
The Derwent farmhouse dining table is handcrafted, and made to order, in our UK workshop. Pair it with our Derwent Dining Benches, which can slide underneath the table when not in use, freeing up valuable floor space in your home. Complete the look with the Derwent Sideboard, for a complete farmhouse-inspired dining space.

Funky Chunky Furniture’s shelves, mantels, and furniture are crafted from responsibly sourced wood. We work with suppliers who prioritise sustainable forestry, ensuring forests are well-managed to support biodiversity, protect wildlife habitats, and promote long-term regeneration.
Solid Rustic Timber
To make these Derwent farmhouse dining tables we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each dining table is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature’s own stamp of approval.
In this style, you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, bows, and twists, along with sanding marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our furniture apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every dining table will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind.
Placing your item close to a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features, particularly twists and bows.
Please note that all sizes and weights given are approximate. As we only use natural, solid timber, measurements can change slightly from one piece to another.
5 Fine Wax Finish Colours
To finish this rustic dining table we use your choice of one of our wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life. The available colours are:

When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Assembly & Care
Some Assembly Needed
The Derwent Dining Table is delivered on a roadside pallet delivery. We recommend that two strong people are available to move the dining table into your home. Once in your home, some assembly is needed, but the dining table comes with detailed instructions and all the fixings your need.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with adjustable feet, to help you level your table on your floor as well as protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.
If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.
Future Maintenance With Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time. They’re also brilliant for fixing damage. Order your wax care pack here.
Delivery & Returns
Turnaround & Delivery
As these dining tables are handmade to order we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 10 weeks. They will then be dispatched with a pallet delivery company. The courier will contact you directly to arrange a delivery date so please ensure to leave a contact number with your order. For queries about the pallet delivery service, please contact us
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
