Traditional pair of black ceramic door knobs with delicate petal edged brass roseplates. Ceramic handles were popular for almost a century, first appearing around 1830. They were widely used in Victorian homes upstairs, in servant quarters and in less grand properties due to being more affordable than brass. Manufactured in the UK.
